National Philanthropy
In January of 2010, LTA became an official collegiate partner to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, becoming the first individual Latino Greek organization to commit fully to the hospital's efforts. With this partnership, LTA provides our resources of community service and activism and more importantly, another direct link to the Hispanic community for St. Jude. LTA has pledged to raise awareness about childhood cancer and St. Jude in the Latin community, as well as fundraise for the hospital through a variety of events and programs. Since partnership with St. Jude's, we have raised over $200,000 for the organization.
Community Service
Along with putting forth effort to support St. Judes, LTA also makes it a mission to give back to it's local community. Each active undergraduate sister volunteers her time throughout both semesters of each year to give back to those who need it and are looking for help.We believe in paying it forward and putting into our community what we want to get out of it.
